Alpine Digest

Terms of Service

1. About these terms

By using Alpine Digest (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. The Service is provided by Alpine Digest, Shruti Sharma, registered in Switzerland.

2. Use of the Service

You may browse, read, and share content for personal, non-commercial purposes. Bulk scraping, republication of full articles, or use of the content for training third-party AI models without written permission is prohibited.

3. User-submitted content

Business owners may submit photos and text via /listing/manage. By submitting, you confirm that you own or have license to the content and grant Alpine Digest a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display the submission in connection with your listing. We reserve the right to decline or remove submissions at our editorial discretion.

4. AI-assisted editorial content

A large share of articles, recommendations, and event listings on Alpine Digest are drafted with assistance from generative AI models (OpenAI, Google Gemini and similar) and then routed through a multi-step editorial pipeline: web-grounded fact-check against Google Places and other authoritative sources, voice + locale quality review, and human moderation before publication. We invest considerable effort in catching errors before they go live.

That said, AI-assisted content can still contain inaccuracies. Specifically:

  • Venue details — opening hours, prices, menus, and exact addresses can change between our publication date and your visit. Please verify directly with the venue before relying on them.
  • Operational status — although we check Google Places for permanent closures, businesses may close temporarily, change ownership, or relocate without immediate updates.
  • Event information — dates, ticket availability, and line-ups are sourced from third-party feeds (Ticketmaster, MySwitzerland) at the time of writing. Please reconfirm with the organiser before travelling.
  • Translations — German, French, and Italian editions are machine-translated and may occasionally contain idiomatic awkwardness or untranslated proper nouns. The English edition is the authoritative source where they diverge.

By using Alpine Digest, you acknowledge that AI-assisted editorial output is provided for general information and should not be treated as a guarantee. We strive for accuracy and welcome corrections — spotted something wrong? Email hello@alpinedigest.ch and we’ll review it.

5. Advertising and partnerships

Sponsored content is labelled as such. Editorial selections are not for sale.

5a. Pro subscriptions

Alpine Digest Pro is an optional paid subscription. Prices, plans, and the included features are listed on the pricing page; we may add features but will not reduce paid-for features for the remainder of any paid period.

  • Billing is in Swiss francs, processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. on our behalf. You authorise us (via Stripe) to charge the payment method you provide for the plan you select.
  • Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually). You can cancel at any time from the customer portal on your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep Pro access until then.
  • Refunds: see our refund policy. We offer a 14-day full-refund window from your first Pro payment, plus pro-rata refunds for annual subscriptions cancelled within the first six months.
  • Price changes: if we change prices, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the change applies. The new price takes effect on your next renewal; you can cancel before then with no further charge.
  • Suspension: we may suspend access during payment failures (after Stripe’s standard retry cycle) or for breach of these terms. We will email you before suspending for any reason other than payment failure.

6. Intellectual property

All editorial content (text, images, video) is © Alpine Digest unless otherwise attributed. Logos and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by Swiss law, Alpine Digest disclaims liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts of Geneva.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
