As you walk, keep your eyes peeled for birdlife—this area is a haven for migratory species. The trail takes about 3 hours, and you can easily make a day of it by stopping for a lakeside picnic or popping into one of the local restaurants for fresh fish.
Local's tip: Visit the Greifensee on a Tuesday in summer for the weekly market in Nänikon—perfect for picking up local cheeses and homemade jams!
